Our beloved Peggy Baca, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, on May 2, 2008 passed to her eternal Heavenly home and to reunion with our beloved son, Michael John.

Remaining to mourn her and to celebrate her life are her husband of 54 years, Ed Sr.; son, Ed Jr. Skip; granddaughters, Allison and Kristen and their mother our once and always daughter, Edna; grandsons, Michael John II and Matthew Jacob and their mother, Terrie; brother, Jack King; sister, Barbara Neindorf and near and dear relatives and a host of friends too numerous to count.

Peg was born November 5, 1931 in Union City TN to the late Clyde and Gussie James Burcham. During World War II days she lived at several army posts with her mother and stepfather, John King, an army career man. After the war the family returned to Union City where she graduated from high school followed by her life of service, first as a Registered Nurse graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing in Janesville WI and then as wife, mother and homemaker and everything that goes with that calling. Everywhere she lived in the U.S. and Europe as an Air Force wife for twenty years, she gave of herself in service to her family and her Air Force family; Den Mother, Little League, Scouts, Wive's Clubs, Chapel activities all were recipients of her service and her spirit of joy and giving.

After putting down post-retirement roots in San Antonio in 1970, it was more of the same: church and school activities, helping neighbors and friends, sending care packages to friends and family and later on enjoying her grandchildren. Holidays were her great joy. At Christmas time, Easter and Thanksgiving our home sparkled with decorations and happiness beyond compare. There were even timeouts for travel. She dearly loved seeing new places, doing new things, meeting new people, shopping and enjoying life to the fullest.

Dear God, how we will miss her.

A Memorial Service will be held at her church home, Medical Center Baptist Church, 7015 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio TX 78240 on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM. A separate graveside service will begin at 1:30 PM also on Monday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to Medical Center Baptist Church.
