Annie Kate Tanner was a native of San Jacinto County and a previous resident of Highlands and had lived in Liberty for the last six years. She was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church in Highlands and was a current member of First Baptist Church in Liberty. She also was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Page and her husband, Billy, of Liberty; sisters, Jewel Carnes of Huntsville, Christine Bower of Magnolia and Frankie Matthews of Evergreen; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
