In 1920 he and his parents and brother Ralph, age four, lived on a farm in Toby Township, Clarion County, PA. They owned their home, mortgage free. Also living with them was his father's invalid aunt, Lavina Blair.
In 1930 all five of them were living in presumably the same place. They did have a radio.
In 1940 just he and his parents lived there. He and his father both worked on the farm.
In 1950 the three of them still lived there. Leland also worked as a shearer in a steel mill.
