Ted Davis
W. Ted Davis, 70, 530 W. Chestnut St., died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday at McCune-Brooks Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 23.
Mr. Davis was born April 1, 1913, in Carthage, and had resided his lifetime in Jasper County.
He was employed 25 years by Carthage Marble Corp., retiring in 1976, and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and Teamsters Local No. 823 of Joplin. He was married to Betty Hesser, who survives.
Additional survivors include three sons Lance Davis, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Kevin and Kim Davis, both of Carthage; a daughter Mrs. Diedra Pendleton, Carthage; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ulmer Funeral Home.
