Mark Harris Rasmussen, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 8, 2010, at the age of 91. He was born September 5, 1919, in Fillmore, Utah, to Edward Harris and Juel Callister Rasmussen.

He married Wanda Teeples on February 21, 1939. They were later divorced.

He then married Reva Miller Quilter on July 6, 1960. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mark was drafted into the Navy in 1944, during World War II, where he served until the end of the war in 1945.

He started his life-long profession as a builder at age 12, working for his father as a "lather." As a general contractor for most of his adult life, he built a variety of residential and professional buildings in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada.

Mark was an avid rock hound. He belonged to the Timpanogos and Tooele Rock Clubs for many years. He also loved to hunt, fish, and square dance.

Mark is survived by a large, blended family, including his wife, Reva, six sons and four daughters. They are: Ray M. Rasmussen, Sondra (LaMar) Mills, Shirlene (Ted) Hindmarsh, Don A. Rasmussen, Edward H. (Diane) Rasmussen, Kent G. Rasmussen, Dale M. Rasmussen, Sherrie (Larry) Williams, Ross A. (Joan) Quilter, and Kerri (Eric) Hundley; three sisters, LaVon (Doug) Nuttall, Gloria Staheli, and Hope (Dean) Prestwich; 46 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, a son, Toni M. Quilter, and a grandson, Sean Quilter.
