James H. Belshe, 55, dies; Funeral Monday

James H. Belshe, 55, former Meadville resident, died Friday in a Wichita, Kan., hospital. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Riverview Baptist Church with the Rev. George Goodie officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery.

James H. was born May 31, 1914 west of Meadville, the son of Henry and Martha Belshe. He married Clodine Pittman in August, 1938.

Surviving are his wife, Clodine; three sons, James H., Jr., Gary and Michael and three grandsons, all of Wichita; one sister, Mrs. Pete Cooper, Meadville; and six nieces, Mrs. Martha Johnson, Mrs. Lucille Bowyer, Wheeling, Mrs. Helen Atwood, San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Louise Much and Mrs. Evelyn Moner, Meadville, and Mrs. Dixie Singleton, Brookfield.

Mr. Belshe was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church and served several years as a deacon.

He was employed as foreman in the welding division at Boeing Aircraft. Prior to moving to Kansas in 1939, Mr. Belshe lived on a farm west of Meadville.
