Chico Record, Thursday Morning, July 4, 1918, pg 5 col 2: Mrs. Mary A. Loar of Gridley Dies in Chico. Mrs. Mary Anna Loar of Gridley died Tuesday evening at 6 o’clock at Boucher and Mulberry streets, Chapmantown, where she had been a guest. She came here from Gridley for the benefit of her health.
Mrs. Loar was a widow, seventy eight years old, a native of Missouri. Surviving her are eleven children.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning at Bicknell & Moore chapel, Rev. James E. Conder officiating. Interment will be in Chico Cemetery.
