Thankful (Jacobs) Elliot Rogers died on May 1, 1917 in Montrose, Lee County, Iowa but, her mortal remains were returned to Illinois, where they were laid beside those of her 1st husband, Sergeant Lemuel R. Elliot, in the Morristown Cemetery in Morristown, Henry County, Illinois.
