Helen Maxine Dowker, 83, of Charlotte, MI died Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Mrs. Dowker was born January 8, 1928 in Springport, MI the daughter of Simeon and Almeada (Sebastian) Stukey. She is survived by her sons Terry (Peggy) and Duane; and grandson, Tony, and her sister Magdalina "Mickey" (Elwood) Martin of Bedford, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband Max in 2004; sister Arlene Aldaffer, and brother Robert Stukey. Helen was active with the 4-H Organization in Eaton County, serving as both a leader and a Judge at the County Fair for 19 years. She loved birds, and enjoyed decorating cakes. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Pray Funeral Home with Rich Mitterling officiating. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM. If desired memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
