Mrs. Crisp, Long Time Carter Resident, Passes
Mrs. Almira Belle Crisp, 89, a resident of Chouteau county much of the time since 1910, died Friday, July 22, at the St. Clare hospital.
Almira Belle Johnson was born Dec. 2, 1865, in Crawfordsville, Ore., in which state she lived the first 32 years of her life. She married Isaac Abraham Crisp Sept. 16, 1888, at Brownsville, Ore. The couple came to Chouteau county and the Carter section to homestead in 1910 from Garfield, Wash. Mr. Crisp passed away Dec. 1925. Since then she spent part of her time elsewhere but had returned to the Carter community during the summers.
A daughter, Mrs. Clarice Isabel Eveleth, of Santa Monica, Calif., survives Mrs. Crisp.
The body was sent to Palouse, Wash., where funeral services were to be held, with graveside rites at Garfield, Wash., her old home.
