Herald Coaster, March 24, 1968:

Funeral services for W. H. Brinkmeyer, 72, of Rosenberg, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Assembly of God Church, Rosenberg, with Rev. D. L. Berkheimer officiating.

Mr. Brinkmeyer passed away suddenly at his home Thursday morning. He was a resident of Fort Bend County approximately 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mathilde Brinkmeyer of Rosenberg; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Kettler of Rosenberg; three sons, Joseph Brinkmeyer of Beasley, Walter Brinkmeyer of Rosenberg, and Wilmund Brinkmeyer of Freeport; a brother, Fritz Brinkmeyer of Brenham; three half-sisters, Mrs. Lydia Schroeder, Mrs. Clara Koenig, and Mrs. Alvina Niemeyer, all of Brenham; five half-brothers, Henry Brinkmeyer, Otto Brinkmeyer, Albert Brinkmeyer, and Ed Brinkmeyer, all of Brenham, and Reinhardt Brinkmeyer of Rosenberg; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Richard Drachenberg, Earl Trust, R. H. Ellermann, Andrew Walzel, Robert Thielemann, and Calvin Wegner.

Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors.

Gravesite Details

Henriette Hodde is actually the stepmother. His birth mother died when he was 2 or 3 years old and no one knows her name.
