Loyce Emlow Roberts was born on Thursday, April 7, 1960 in Lake City, Florida to Loyce Quitman and Grace Meredith Roberts. He grew up with his brothers, Leroy and Glen, and his sisters, Nancy, Frances and Irma in O'Brien, Florida. When he was a baby his daddy nicknamed him Tarzan because he liked to swing from his crib. That nickname lasted all of his life. He married the love of his llife on August 10, 1984, Mary Smith. Tarzan and Mary were blessed with two children, Kyle and Megan. He was a farmer and a chicken grower. Tarzan went to Heaven on Thursday, November 4, 2010. the result of a traffic accident near Branford, FLorida. He was 50 years old. His funeral was conducted by Reverend Danny Roberts in the O'Brien Baptist Church on Monday, November 8, 2010. The church and Educational Burilding was filled to capacity. Eddy Roberts, his cousin, gave the eulogy and Rev. Danny Roberts preached the funeral. Wayne Wingate sang Take My Hand Precious Lord, Lead Me Home. Tommy Chastain, his brother-in-law sang The Dance. He was laid to rest in the O'Brien Cemetery.
