Services were at 4 p.m. Monday in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Walter E. Williams, 72, who died Saturday afternoon of an apparent heart attack, at his cabin on Possum Kingdom Lake. Dr. Arleigh Matlock, pastor, officiated.
Laura Mae Adams and Walter E. Williams were married 5 November 1922 at Vashti, Texas.
Williams had lived in Olney since 1929 and was a retail grocerman. He owned "Walt's Lunch" and "Thift-Tee Food Store.", and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; one son, Terry Williams of Olney; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Woods of College Station and Mrs. BillBockhoff of Olney; a sister, Mrs. Henrietta Godwin of Tulsa, Okla.; and 12 grandchildren.
