Graveside services for Wade Cooper Donathan, 87, of Norman will be held today (Thursday), May 26, at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell with Rev. Bill Diepenbrock officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
Mr. Donathan died May 23 at Lexington.
he was born Sept. 9, 1906 to Martin L. and Emma Donathan at Leedy, where he attended school. Mr. Donathan married Ester Montgomery Feb. 2, 1952 at Norman. He was a member of the Golby Baptist Church and attended Wildwood Community Church in Norman. He came to Norman in 1961 from Goldby and was retired from Tinker Air Force Base and farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Beulah Donathan; a son, M. L. Donathan; a stepson, Dan Montgomery; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Esther, of the home; three sons, Wade Donathan, Jr. of El Paso, Tex., Joseph Donathan of Norman and Michael Donathan of Oklahoma City; three stepsons, Alton Montgomery and Jim Montgomery of Norman and Dale Montgomery of Noble; three daughters, Lottie Parnell of Oklahoma City, Dorothy Martin of Dover, Ohio and Mickey Harryman of Lexington; one stepdaughter, Wanda Sain of Atoka; 32 grandchildren and numerous great and great-greatgrandchildren.
