Frank Wilson, 76 years old, died at 10 p. m. Saturday at his home in Traer. He had been in failing health for nearly two years and confined to his bed for several weeks, so the end was not unexpected. He was a victim of carcinoma of the intestines. The funeral service was conducted at the home at 2:30 o 'clock Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. W. L. Alexander, pastor of the local Methodist Episcopal church. Burial was in Buckingham cemetery Mr. Wilson was born in Hammondville, Jefferson county, Ohio, October 30, 1852. He was a son of John B. und Elizabeth Householder Wilson. Coming to Iowa alone in 1875, he worked first for several years for William Stoakes, on the latter's farm northeast of Traer.

After his marriage December 18, 1884 to Miss Eva A. Scott, he farmed for a time in Crystal township. Two sons were born to this first union -LeRoy S. Wilson, now of Omaha, Nebraska and Charles C., of Seattle, Washington. Mrs. Wilson died M arch 31, 1890, and Mr. Wilson was married February 4, 1892 to Ruth A. Leslie, who survives. To this union were born two daughters - Miss Edith Wilson, who returned to Traer a few weeks ago after working for several years in a bank in Riceville, Iowa and Mrs. Merrill Olson, of Red Oak, Iowa. Mr. Wilson moved to Traer after his second marriage and lived here the remainder of his life. Most of the time is worked as a carpenter. He was well and favorably known.

Relatives and friends from out-of-town who attended the funeral service Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Wilson and daughters, Dorothy and Betty Ruth, of Omaha, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. M. L Olson, of Red Oak, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Leslie, of Luverne, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Leslie and son, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Maxwell and Mr. and Mrs. John Maxwell, all of Riceville, Iowa; Christian Schnare, of Reinbeck, and Mr. and Mrs. James Cassen, Mrs. Robert Murray, Mrs. W. O. Card and Mr. and Mrs. William Neeble, all of Waterloo.
