Ed Jeffries, 80, of Chariton, died last Tuesday, at the Gardner Nursing Home following a short illness. He was a farmer in Wayne County until ill health forced him to retire three years ago.
Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Vernon Jeffries, Chariton, William Jeffries, Russell, Jimmy Jeffries, Detroit; Clay Jeffries, Downey, Calif.; Bonnie Adamson, Cocoa, Fla.; Donna Mason, Steedway, Ind.; and Lela Dixon, Confidence, Iowa.
Funeral was held from the Woodland Funeral Home, Thursday, Oct. 23, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. A. E. Beals officiated. Burial was in the Russell Cemetery. [Apparently, he is buried in Confidence Cemetery instead of Russell.]
