ANTHONY BERICAL Higginsville Hotel Proprietor Is Dead
HIGGINSVILLE - Anthony Berical, hotel proprietor in this village for 40 years, died at his home Monday morning. He had been ill for nearly two months.
Mr. Berical was born near Strausburg in the province of Alsace-Lorraine, January 27, 1844. He came to this country 64 years ago, settling in this village, He conducted a store in connection with his hotel, which was known as Tony Berical's Hotel. He was a member of St. Francis Church, Durhamville.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Charles Selker [Felker] Fort [Port] Allegheny Pa., and Mrs. Allie Lane, Fultonville, N.Y., two sons, William of Oneida and Edward of this place; five brothers, Lawrence, Tonawanda, N.Y.; Joseph, Michael and Fred of Dunbarton, and Francis of Oneida. He also leaves nine grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held at the home Wednesday morning and the funeral will be held from St. Francis Church. Interment will be made in St. Francis Cemetery.
