SPEARMAN - Evelyn Bailey Dodd, 86, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Shian Klaussen officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Evelyn was born March 26, 1924, in Spearman to John and Iva Longley. She married Kenneth Bailey who died in 1974. She then married Clinton Dodd, who died in 1995.

Evelyn worked as a dispatcher for the Spearman Police Department, Hansford County Sheriff's Department and Carson County Sheriff's Department. She was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star of Panhandle.

She was a graduated of Spearman High School and volunteered at the Squarehouse Museum in Panhandle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Iva Longley; her husbands, Kenneth Bailey and Clinton Dodd; a daughter, Lynda Kay McGarraugh in 1998; and three brothers, John, Kenneth and Clyde Longley.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Bailey of Spearman; a grandson, Pete Mauk and wife Jennie of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Quinetta Aguilar of Metairie, La.; and six great-grandchildren.
