Susan was the daughter of James & Jane (Saville) Barrett. She married William H. Suydam. They had 6 children one of them being Frederick & another Leona.

She died Febuary 1946. The obit I have i wrote down Febuary 17,1946. Not sure if it's the date of the newspaper or her actual death date reguardless she passed away on a Sunday at Graham Hospital in Canton,Illinois.
She was born March 15,1871 near Bloomington,Illinois to James & Jane (Saville) Barrett. On June 8,1892 she married William H. Suydam in Canton & were married by Dr. Charles Whiting, pastor of the First Baptist Chruch.
Her children included: Ruth (died in 1920 at age 20), Fred A, Estella (Suydamn) Bain, Verne C. Suydam of Lebanon,Il, Leona (Suydam) Hancock Josta.
Susan's siblings were Felix Barret of Narco,California, Edward Barrett of California, William Barrett of Los Angeles,Ca. All her brothers at the time of her death lived in California. Her sisters were Olive (Barrett) Haden of Dayton,Ohio who was living at tyhe time of susans death. She had two deceased sisters who died before 1946. They were Marian Barrett, & Mrs. Daisy Nully.
