Elizabeth Blankenheim, age 74, died on Wednesday, May 10, 1995 at her home. She was born on May 2, 1921 in Milwaukee and was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Ryan) McCarthy. She was married to the late Alderman Earl Blankenheim on November 20, 1941. She worked for USF&G Insurance Co. prior to marriage. In the 1970's she worked for National Mutual Benefit and has lived in Sun Prairie since 1956. She was secretary of Sacred Hearts Parish council, president of the Sun Prairie High School P.T.A. and co-hosted "Sound off on WORT radio. She is survived by her children; E. Sharon (Arthur) Larsen of Pittsfield, MA, Carol (Neil) Carlson of Littleton, CO, Kristine (Johanas) Benkers of Belmont, WI, Earl Jr. (Bonnie) of Townsend, WI, Peter of Sun Prairie, Jeffery (Sue) of Maple Grove, MN, Roger (Lisa) of Steamwood, IL, David (Lorie) of Madison, WI and Eric (Dawn) of Appleton, WI; 22 grandchildren and a great-grandson; a sister, Mary Nineman of Oxnard, CA; a brother, Dr. Thomas McCarthy of Sunnyvale, CA; brothers-in-law, George (Marcella) Blankenheim, Robert (Gen) Blankenheim and Wallace Jopke. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; an infant daughter, Linda; and a sister, Ellen Jopke. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 1995 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. with Father Antonio Rodriquez officiating, Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 1995 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. where a rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. WSJ 5/11/1995
