Jack received his early education in Jefferson Elementary, Park City, graduating from Park City High in 1938. While living in Park City he worked for the only service station in Park City, also The Silver King Mine and later at the Pacific Bridge Mill.
He married Olga Julia Pendrak, also of Park City, in Coleville, Utah on June 7, 1941. Jack entered the Army in 1942; he served in Europe and Korea before being discharged in Janary 1946.
Jack and Olga made their home in Orem and had three children. Jack, Susan, and Janice. They were both very active in the Orem Comminity Church. Olga passed away in 1974 from viral pneumonia. Jack was blessed enough to be able to spend the next 26 years with Molly Young-Nyman, becoming her husband on July 5, 1975. Molly passed on January 8, 2002.
He is survived by one son and two daughters, Jack LaMar (Dee) Nyman Jr., Susan N. Johnson, Janice D. Nyman; two step sons and one step-daughter.
