Marie was a farmer with her husband Lawrence for several years and was also a housewife. She worked at Alfred Werber and at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Mo. She did volunteer work at the Golden Age Center in St. James, Mo. Marie was an election Judge and also a supervisory judge for many years. She was a founding member of the Forest City Christian Church in St. James, Mo. She loved to sew; also knitting; gardening and flowers; also crafts. She was also a seamstress (even in the last week in the hospital). Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Very devoted to her church and community. Always eager to help others.
Marie is survived by two sons: Joseph Neidert of St. James, MO., and Ronald Lee Neidert and wife Patty of Diamond, MO.; two daughters: Donna Marie Walls of Fayette, MO. and Deborah Sue Neidert of Ironton, MO.; one brother: Lyndon Morgan of Owensville, MO.; along with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Marie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents: Jacob William and Emily Susie (Morgan) Garrett; her husband: Lawrence Neidert in 1971; three brothers: Kenneth, Leroy, Freddy Garrett and Marion R. Garrett and two sisters: Rosa Mae Seddon and Beatrice Forrester., and dear grandaughter Kati Neidert who entered into rest on September 13, 2005.
Visitation will be held on November 9, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. at the Forest City Christian Church in St. James, Missouri. Services
Funeral services will be conducted on November 9, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Forest City Christian Church in St. James, Mo. with Gene Branson officiating. Music will be provided by Helen Branson and Sally Carpenter. Pallbearers will be: Ron Neidert; Ronnie Neidert; Mark Neidert; Kirk Alexander; Rick Harris and Herb Gleize. Burial will be in the family plot in the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery in rural St. James, Missouri. Memorials are preferred to Golden Age Center; Forest City Christian Church; or Ozark Valley Community Service in Ironton, Mo. All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
