Former Resident of Camas Dies
Funeral services for Mrs. JUVIS P.
DOLE, a former resident of Camas, were
held Monday at two o'clock from the
Assembly of God Church with the Rev.
Cranston officiating.
Mrs. Dole lived in Camas from 1894
until 1920 when she moved to Grants Pass,
Oregon, to make her home with her
daughter, Mrs. Lucy D. Offins. The last
three weeks of her life were spent in Port
Townsend, where she passed away on
November 16th at the age of 97. She was
born in Vergens, Michigan, on March 11,
1857, and was the widow of Samuel E.
Dole.
Mrs. Dole is survived by four daughters,
Mrs. Mary E. VanBuskirk of Vancouver;
Mrs. Lucy Offins of Grants Pass; Mrs. Cecil
Switzer of San Leandro, California, and
Mrs. Della Call of Port Townsend. One son,
Myron Dole of Camas, and one sister, Mrs.
Minnie Scott of Everett, and thirty four
grandchildren also survive her.
Six grandsons served as casket bearers
for the interment which took place in the
family plot in the Camas cemetery under the
direction of Carroll's Mortuary of Port
Townsend.
