Carl M. Aplin, 55, of Poplar Street, Auburndale, Fla., died Friday night in a Winter Haven Hospital. An employee of Adams Packing Company, Aplin moved to Auburndale in 1949 from Florala. He was born and reared in Covington County and lived here in Florala for a number of years before moving to Auburndale. At one time he served on the City of Florala police force. He was a member of the First Mission Baptist Church of Auburndale. Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Zunnie Aplin; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Thomas, of Florala; Mrs. Lue Tubeville, of Opp and Mrs. Lelia White, of Crestview; one brother, Ben Aplin, of Opp, and a number of nieces and nephews, of Florala.
