MASON - Delmar D Alexander, 81, of Mason, W.Va., died Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio.

Born July 10, 1920 in Union Township, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph L and Rosella (Hamilton) Alexander, he retired in 1983 from the Maintenance Department at Phillip Sporn Power Plant. He was also a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Mason United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Alexander and his sons, Jerry Lee Alexander and Bruce D Alexander.

He is survived by his wife, Coral E Alexander of Mason, W.Va.; daughter-in-law, Brenda Alexander of Arvada, Colo.; granddaughter, Jennifer Girton of Painted Post, N.Y.; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Vera Alexander of Chandlersville, Ohio; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sharma and Gene Heyman of Tiffin, Ohio; sister-in-law, Wanda Thompson of Malta, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2002 at Foglesong-Tucker Funeral Home, Mason, W.Va., with Reverend Rondal Browning officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Creek in Union Township, Ohio. Military service will be by Stewart-Johnson VFW Post 9926 and Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
