Mrs. Marie Witham, 85, of Topeka died Saturday, May 26, 1990, at a Topeka nursing home.
Mrs. Witham had been a beautician for many years, a bookkeeper at Falley's and earlier
had taught school at Emmett.
She was born August 18, 1904, at Strong City, the daughter of Lloyd and Nellie Rae Carl
Bitler. She was a graduate of Onaga High School.
Mrs. Witham was a member of Seaman Congregational United Church of Christ.
She married Chester W. Witham March 8, 1929, at Onaga. He died August 27, 1980. A
granddaughter, Kerri Dawn McNorton, died April 4, 1983.
Survivors include a daughter, Daytha D. McNorton, Topeka; a son, Darrel D. Witham,
Topeka; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Onaga Cemetery in Onaga.
