Mrs. Bessie Proctor Hagins, 93, died Tuesday at Henry General Hospital near Stockbridge after a short illness.
The Bulloch County nativehad lived in Atlanta since 1946. Mrs. Hagins was one of the oldest members of the First Baptist Church of Statesboro.
Mrs. Hagins is survived by two sons, J. H. Hagins, Smyrna, and Albert M. Hagins, Lawrenceville; one sister, Mrs. Annie Mae Hutchins, Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hagins will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with Dr. H. William Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
