C.O. HATFIELD DIES AT AGE 81
Member of Pioneer Clark County Family Stricken
Charles O. Hatfield, 81, died at 11:15 am Thursday at his home, 536 E. Euclid av. The body was taken to the O'Brien funeral home, where it will remain until time of the funeral services.
Mr. Hatfield was born in Pitchin, a member of a pioneer Clark County family. His parents, Martin and Deliah Webb Hatfield, settled here in 1804. He and lived in Clark County and Springfield his entire life.
Surviving are his widow, Cecilia; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Massman of Springfield; a son, Merle Hatfield of Pittsburgh; a bother F. M. Hatfield of Springfield, and a grandson, Robert Massman of Springfield.
