MRS. CAROLINE CUDWORTH.
Caroline, wife of Sylvester Cudworth,
an aged and respected citizen, died at her
residence on East Main street at 3:30 A.
M. Friday. The deceased wes in the seventh-
first year of her age. Her illness
covered a period of several weeks. She
was first taken down with la grippe,
which developed into a complication of
diseases from which death ensued Her
maiden name was Caroline Seaman. She
was born in Ephratah, but moved to
Johnstown in early childhood and has
since resided here. In 1854 she married
Sylvester Cudworth and for thirty years
subsequent to their marriage they resided
in the historical old mansion on East
Main street known as Union Hall. She
is survived by her husband, one son
Charles H. and one daughter, Miss Annie,
all residents of this place. She was a
sister ot Mrs. James D. Miller and Silas
Seaman, both residents of this place.
The funeral was held at the family
residence, Monday, at 2:30 P. M. Her remains
will be interred in the Johnstown
cemetery.
