Here Since January, 1950 Elmer A. Scheffert retired because of ill health January 17th. He came to work with Fisher April 19, 1950, joining the shipping department. In 1954 he switched to the processing department, then back to shipping in 1956, then to the warehouse. He became a stores extra in 1963 when his health began to fail.
Elmer will be remembered for a period of eight or nine years during which he established a continuous record of being neither absent nor tardy. Then following a heavy overnight snowstorm, he got caught in a traffic jam on the way to work.
