Ray Martin, 81, a resident of Russellville, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 5, 1929, at Russellville to Alfred Lafayette and Isabell Lee White Martin. He attended the East Point Baptist Church and was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margaret Sue Martin.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mike and Jone Martin of Russellville, Bobby and Karen Martin of Russellville, and Mark Martin of San Diego, California; a daughter, Linda Calloway of Little Rock; a sister, Wilma Bayne of Bothel, Washington; eight grandchildren, Christopher Calloway, Courtney Calloway, Jessica Martin, Nicolas Martin, Bailey Martin, Bradley Martin and his wife, Ashley, Clint Martin and his wife, Connie, and Detta Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Beth Smith, Daisy Martin, and Landon Martin.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at East Point Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Pless and the Rev. Jerry Schlinker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 5 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
