"This lovely bud, so young and fair,
Called hence by early doom
Has gone to show how sweet a flour
In paradise can bloom".
About two weeks ago she was stricken with typhoid fever, which proved to be fatal. She leaves a mother, father, 2 sisters, a brother and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. Ivy will be greatly missed for she was kind to her dear mother, kind and obliging to all. But while our hearts are sad we are assured our loss is her eternal gain. To the bereaved family we extend our heartfelt sympathy in this sad hour. [The Bland Courier, Bland, Gasconade Co, MO Sept 21, 1906].
