Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, at 1 p.m. for Alvah J. Hillman, 74, who died Sunday, July 4, at the Tuscola County Medical Facility in Caro after a long illness.
Mr. Hillman was born May 22, 1897, in Peck, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wellington Hillman. He was married to Miss Cora Bartle in Cass City August 22, 1921. Following their marriage, they made their home in this community. Mrs. Hillman died in 1958. He married Mrs. Arlene Chisholm June 13, 1959, in Omer.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. W. E. Howard of Skidmore, Texas, Mrs. Floyd Heronemus of Decker, and Mrs. Irwin Herbst of Algonac, one brother, Clarence Hillman of Southfield. One sister preceded him in death.
The services will be conducted from Little's Funeral Home. The Rev. Ira Wood of Salem United Methodist Church and the Rev. Howard Hazzard of Lewiston will officiate. Burial will be at the Elkland cemetery.
