Benjamin Franklin Gober was born on the 4th of July, 1877 in Newton County, Georgia. He was the fourth child born to James Russell William Gober and Mary C. W. France Gazaway.
On September 11, 1899 He married Temperance Matilda "Tempie" Gilley in Blount County, Alabama.

Ben and Tempie setup housekeeping in Blount County and was living next door to my Father and his family in 1900. They were listed as newly weds on the census.

Ben and Tempie had 11 children; they were Mary, Jack, Bessie, Grover, Grace, Josephine, Bernice, Lillie and Allie(twins),Easter Ardelia and Wynell.

Four of their children are in unmarked graves at Morton Chapel in Etowah County.

Ben F. Gober:
Funeral Services for Ben F. Gober 77, route 1, Baileyton, were held at Mount Vernon February 28 at 11 a.m. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery with Moss Services directing. Rev. George Helms officiated. Mr. Gober died at the Cullman Hospital February 26, at 6:50 p.m.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Temple Gober, one son, Jack Gober, Arab; Six daughters, Mrs. Bessie Calvert, Mrs. Bernice Amberson, and Mrs. Della Burks all of Birmingham, Mrs. Wynell Wynn, Bangar, and Mrs. Grace Pitts, Cullman; one brother and one sister; twenty-seven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
