In 1831, at the age of 16 years, William visited Wyandot County, Ohio, which was sixteen years before the Wyandot Indians left that reservation, where later he spent the greater portion of his life, and where McCutchenville is now located. He finally moved to Michigan where he died. Later in life he became a minister in the Church of the River Brethren, often making ministerial tours in other states and localities, and on one of these tours he died, while in Michigan. German was the language most often spoken in this family. Eliza was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
