Mrs. Alta Leona Harne, widow of Gideon O. Harne Sr., of Point of Rocks, dead at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry S. Landis, 1532 Red Oak Drive, Silver Springs, Wednesday at 12:50 p.m. after an illness of six months, aged 83 years.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Oliva Pryor Redmond and a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Silver Spring.

Surviving are ten children: Mrs. Alvie E. Toms Sr.; Miss Emma J. Harne, Mrs. Helen E. Loy, all of Point of Rocks; Mrs. Joseph A. Wisner, this city; Mrs. Meda G. Compher, Point of Rocks; Mrs. Henry S. Landis, Silver Springs; Mrs. J. George Nash, Washington; Mrs. John S. Smith, Forest Hills, Md.; Gideon O. Harne Jr., this city and Joseph O. Harne Silver Springs. One sister, Miss Jane Redmond, Point of Rocks; two brothers, Verner Redmond, Point of Rocks and Ross Redmond, Baltimore. 21 grandchildren, 14 great graqndchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also servive.

The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street where friends may call after 4 p.m. Funeral will take place from the funeral home, Saturday at 9 a.m. and further services at the Mount Bethel Methodist Church, near Garfield at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Mount Bethel Cemetery.
