He was employed with Harsco Rail in West Columbia. He coached and served on the board for over 35 years with Midland Baseball. He also supported the Special Olympics and was an avid outdoorsman. He was 53.
He was a son of the late Ed Orr and Betty Hipp Orr. He was preceded in death by one sister, Paulette Orr, and one brother, Rusty Orr.
Surviving are his son, Brandon Orr of West Columbia; brother, Gabbie Hayes of Saluda; stepsister, Terrilynn Knezek (Bob) of Roswell, GA; stepbrother, John Banks (Pam) of Cayce; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Ross, Rebecca and Maria Knezek of Georgia; and stepmother, Barbara Orr of Cayce.
