PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services were held for Gilvin Charles Reed, 72, of Pine Prairie, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie at 3 p.m., Monday, April 13. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Reed died Friday, April 10, 2009, at Ville Platte Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Charles Reed of Pine Prairie and James B. Reed of Ville Platte; two daughters, Connie R. Bonsignore of Baton Rouge and Jennifer West of Chataignier; one brother, Melridge Reed of Lafayette; one sister, Cecelia Morein of Ville Platte; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by his parents Jules and Bathilda Guillory Reed; and wife Maxie Ardoin Reed.
