Clark, Eleanor O. (Schipper)
Passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the age of 90 years. She was born to Henry and Odessa Schipper on March 19, 1920 in Jackson, MI. On May 9, 1942 she married Louis F. Clark in Jackson. She was a devoted wife and mother of four. She was a homemaker and an active, lifelong member of St. John's Parish where, in her later years, she was a member and past president of the Widow's Club and lifetime member of the Wolf Lake Yacht Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, sister Josephine Bennett, one great great grandson and one brother Thomas Schipper. She is survived by her children Mary (Peter) Ambs of Trenton, MI, Patricia (Duane) Olney, Fred (Brenda) Clark of Jackson and John Clark of Grand Ledge, MI, Sister-in-Law Lucille "Dolly" Wright of Jackson, 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and good friends Greta Oliver and Margaret Kutcha. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Greenleaf Care Home for several years of excellent, loving care. You are like family. And the staff of Allegiance ER and Pastoral Care for their caring support.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Rosary Service Friday at 6:30 PM.
Eleanor is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a brief Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Reverend James Shaver will be the celebrant.
