MRS. IRVING LINDSEY
Alice Mary Braenard was born in the state of New York, March 8, l862 and died at her home Sept. 21, being 60 years 7 mo. and l3 days of age. When eight years old, she with her parents and one brother came to Schoolcraft, Michigan where they lived for two years. They then moved to Otsego locating on the farm that has for the past, fifty years been the home of the deceased. At the age of twenty-six she was united in marriage to her girlhood friend Irving Lindsey, and to this union five children were born. One dying in infancy. Four of whom Willard, Elbert, Ernest and Mrs. Julia Myers all of Otsego with the bereaved husband and four grand children mourn her death. Naturally of a winsome and genial nature, a sincere and sympathetic friend, she has endeared herself, to a host of friends and to her immediate community who fell their loss most keenly. Her home was ever her greatest delight and its hospitality combined with the influence of a devoted wife and a good mother has left a lasting imprint on family friends and associates. The deceased was an esteemed member of The Star Club and while health permitted was a member of The Pythian Sisters and Grange. The funeral was held at the home at 2:00 Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. R. Clark and was largely attended. Burial took place in Mountain Home cemetery.
