ARTHUR ADAMS PASSED AWAY WEDNESDAY, FUNERAL THURSDAY
Arthur Adams, a well known and highly esteemed resident of Nevada, passed away at 7:15 o'clock Wednesday morning, after a long illness. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, at the First M. E. church, of which the deceased was a member, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Haney, assisted by Rev. Waters.
Mr. Adams was born at Princeton, Kas., April 7, 1887, and for many years had been a resident of Nevada, being in the Missouri Pacific service during his residence here. Some time ago he was seriously injured and since that time he has been in failing health. His death is a source of great sorrow to his family and many friends.
Mr. Adams is survived by his devoted wife and two stepdaughters, Pauline and Ruth Stevens, and two sisters, Mrs. Phil Welch of Chanute, Kas., and Mrs. Maud Millington of Hutchinson, Kas.

I assume at the time of his death, no one knew his date of birth, so they guessed it was about 1887 when they made the gravestone ("D-K." standing for "Don't Know").
