Forrest F. Acton died in the Decatur and Macon County hospital at 2 o'clock Wednesday morning following an illness of one week. Death was caused by a complication of diseases which developed while on a fishing trip at Peoria a week ago. He was brought to Decatur and taken to the hospital.
Forrest Acton was born in Clinton Apr 30, 1884. He graduated from the Clinton high school in 1901, and was with the Illinois Central railroad there until 1910 when he came to Decatur. He was with the Wabash railroad here, first as a brakeman and then as freight conductor from 1911. He was with the Association of Commerce as assistant to M.J. Brion, manager of the transportation department, from its organization until he resigned a couple of months ago.
He married Lenore L. Wolfe Sept. 28, 1911?. He was a member of the Presbyterian church in Clinton and of the Traffic Club in Decatur. He was well liked by all who knew him and had many friends.
He is survived by his wife and one brother, Earl H. Acton of Peoria. The body was removed to the Monson Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
