Ella Romney Miller passed away peacefully with her loved ones at her side, January 6, 1996.
She is now joyfully reunited with her husband, parents, brothers, sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who have gone on before her.
Ella was born January 7, 1917 in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Orin N. and Albertha Farnsworth Romney.
She moved to the United States and married William Elbert Miller on August 18, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He preceded her in death on January 7, 1990.
Ella was a devoted member of the LDS Church where she served in every organization.
She was a gifted and talented writer and composer, sharing her talents with all who knew her.
She was always helping those less fortunate than herself and will be remembered for her many unselfish acts of kindness. She owned and operated "Ella's Glamour Nook" in Provo for many years and was loved and appreciated by her friends and patrons.
At age 75, she was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of serving a full time mission for the LDS Church. She served faithfully for 18 months in the Knoxville, Tennessee Mission and was a great example of faith and endurance to everyone.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Dennis) Adams, Salt Lake City; Bill (Juli) Miller, San Diego, Calif.; Carol (Dale) Bethers, Heber City; Jay (Holli) Miller of Sandy; foster daughter, Joyce (Parley) Petersen, Provo; 26 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Letha (Dave) Swensen of Orem; Rinda (Kent) Bennion of California; Carl (Penny) Romney of Arizona; Alden (Marion) Romney of California; sister-in-law, Mrs. Wayne (Joan) Romney of Arizona; and brother-in-law, Ara O. Call of Provo.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 13, 1996, at 11 a.m, at the Hillcrest 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 400 East 800 South, Orem.
Friends may call at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center, on Friday evening 6-8 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Saturday, one hour prior to services.
Interment, Orem City Cemetery.
