VIOLET I. RUNYON OBITUARY

Hannibal Aug. 16, 1912 - Feb. 17, 2003
HANNIBAL - Violet I. Runyon, 90, of Hannibal, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Ron Runyon will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal.
. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
. Mrs. Runyon was born Aug. 16, 1912, in Eminence to Frank and Matilda Hollenbock Jennings.
. She was married to Clyde Runyon on March 28, 1931. He preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1991.
. Survivors include two sons, Lee Runyon of Jefferson City and James Runyon of Batavia, Ill.; two daughters, Linda Tompkins of Hannibal and Barbara Johnston of Hannibal; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lucille Runyon; five brothers; two sisters; one half-brother; and three half-sisters.
. Mrs. Runyon was a homemaker and worked as a volunteer for Beth-Haven Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of South Side Christian Church and RSVP.
. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Tompkins, Ian Tompkins, Mike Johnston, Scott Cotton, Jason Roberts and Mark Burton.
