Gladys never married.She was sickly and could not hear.She took care of her mother til Joanna died at the age of 92.Gladys milked the cows,raised calves,had chickens,had a garden and canned all of her fruits and vegetables.She sewed and quilted,made doilies,pillow cases.She worked hard all of her life.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 8, 1976 at 2:00 pm in the Park Street Baptist Church for Gladys D. Roberson, who died March 6 in the Dublin Hospital at the age of 74. Officiating the special service was Rev. Jack Badjero with the Rev. Bob Perrin assisting. The Dublin Quartett provided the music with burial in Bunyan Cemetery. She was born October 21, 1901 in the Bunyan Community to William Allen Roberson and Joanna Oakley Roberson. She was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church of Dublin.

Surviving relatives include one brother, Mr. Russell Roberson of Dublin. Many neices and nephews mourn her passing.

Pallbearers were W.D. Rustin, Bill Roberson, Grady Roberson, Truett Roberson, Parks Roberson, Lloyd Carter, Woodrow Gryder and Ethmer Roberson.
