Sulphur Springs, Texas, April 16. --- The Rev. Robert Dempsey Patterson, 69, retired Methodist minister, died Friday at his Cumby home near Sulphur Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at Emblem and burial will be in the cemetery there.

He was born in Alabama but moved to Texas at the age of twelve, settling in Hopkins County.

The Rev. Mr. Patterson held pastorates in Franklin, Delta, Kaufman, Hopkins, and Titus Counties.

Survivors include his wife, three brothers, George Patterson, Paris; Raymond Patterson, Ridgeway; and Ben Patterson, Sulphur Bluff; and a sister, Mrs. Patterson, Sulphur ______.
