PROMINENT LEADER IN CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION IS DEAD
William B. Inge, Father of Mrs. T. B. Hill, Dies at Home in Greensboro

Mrs. T. B. Hill of Montgomery received the information Friday evening of the death of her father, William B. Inge, one of the most widely known and influential citizens of Hale county. His death occurred at the family home in Greensboro, Friday afternoon.

As a member of the state senate from Hale county for many years, Mr. Inge frequently visited the capital and was well known here. He was a member of the constitutional convention, in which body he was one of the leaders of all progressive movements.

Native of Hale County

William B. Inge was the second of that name in Alabama. His father, Colonel William B. Inge, came to this state from Virginia in the early days of this commonwealth and settled in Hale county, where this distinguished son was born in 1848.

Mr. Inge was a graduate of Southern University, Greensboro, as were his brothers, Dr. Harry T. Inge, Richard Inge and Montgomery Inge, now residents of Mobile.

After completing his education, Mr. Inge married Miss Lida Tunstall, sister of the late Colonel Wiley C. Tunstall, long a powerful figure in the political life of Alabama. Mrs. Inge and four children W. B. Inge Jr., Dr. J. T. Inge, Mobile; Mrs. T. B. Hill, Montgomery and Mrs. J. R. Goodloe, Greensboro, survive.

Successful in Business

At the time of his death Mr. Inge was chairman of the school Boards of Greensboro and Hale county and was an officer and stockholder in the First National Bank of Greensboro. He was successful in business affairs, and was prominently connected with every public effort in his city and section.

The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon, interment being in the family lot in the Greensboro cemetery.
