__________

Mary and Robert Bielby had been married 55 years in 1885, according to the following article from a Kirksville, Missouri, newspaper:

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bielby celebrated their fifty-fifth anniversary of their marriage at the home of their son, R.G. Bielby, in this city, last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bielby have been residents of Adair county for a quarter of a century. It is not often we meet those who have had fifty-five years of their lives given to wedded bliss as it has been with this now aged couple. Five years ago they celebrated their golden wedding when all the children, one of whom lives in Iowa, were present.
