Fredrick A. Ricketts, 73, Elwood, passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 at St.Vincent Mercy Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 25, 1937 to Floyd and Bernadine Ricketts who preceded him in death.
Mr. Ricketts was a farmer and a member of the Elwood Missionary Southern Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jacqueline (Franks) Ricketts; children, Cathy (Jim) Mickley, Carol Hicks, Vivian (Hardy) Brewer, Floyd (Teresa) Ricketts and Fredrick (Amber) Ricketts; two brothers, Frank and Jerry Ricketts; three sisters, Judy Percifil, Sherrie Sloderbeck and Marjorie Trevillian; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lou Ann Miller; a son, Edwin Allen Ricketts; a brother, Edwin Ricketts; sisters, Doris French and Elizabeth Brown; and a great-grandson, Samuel Ryan Hicks. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with Pastor Charles H. Fields officiating. Burial will be in Cicero Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
