O.J.was born in residence on farm in Flatonia,Texas.Farmed with his father untill joining the Army May 27,1918 at 22 years of age.Arrived in France Aug 12,1918 and participated in A.E.F.France,with the 132nd F.A.36th Division,winning the Bronze Victory Medal Arrivied back in the States Mar 24,1919,moved to Wharton County and went to work for Santa Fe Railroad.He left the Railroad in 1928 and went back to Farming and Raising Cattle in Wharton county till 1942. He was employed with Texas Natural Gas Co. from 1938,which became United Natural Gas and was transfered to Galena Park,Texas in 1941.He moved his family to Galena Park,Texas in 1942 and was a resident till his death from Lung Cancer on May 28,1954
